Variables
Anna's Hummingbird
Occurred the most disproportionately in western Oregon hexagons
with June maximum temperature (hex. avg.) of 21.92-28.13 C and, to
a lesser extent, ones with June maximum temperature (hex. avg.) of
14.00-19.43 C and a April maximum temperature (hex. med.) of 13-
14 C. In the eastern part of its Oregon range, it was most likely in
hexagons with more than 1% of their land containing towns and cities.
The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with mixed conifer forest (Douglas-fir dominant), elevation
(hex. avg.), April minimum temperature (hex. avg.), May minimum
temperature (hex. avg.), the extent of public land, and-to a lesser
degree-big sagebrush shrubland.
